Help save gray wolves from the Trump administration's assault!

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has issued a proposal to roll back vital Endangered Species Act (ESA) protections for gray wolves in the lower-48 states. This dangerously misguided plan will strip wolves of vital federal protections and reverse years of recovery for this iconic species.

Once nearly hunted to extinction, gray wolves are now coming back, but they're not yet fully recovered — they need to be protected. Call on the Fish and Wildlife Service to drop its misguided rollback and develop a national recovery plan to help return wolves to places where they once roamed — and still could.

Subject line: Maintain ESA protections for gray wolves

Dear U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service:

I am alarmed that your agency wants to remove vital Endangered Species Act protections for gray wolves in the lower-48 states.

Not so long ago, these wolves were nearly eradicated, and they have not yet returned to all the wild places they once roamed — and still could. Removing these critical protections now would slam the door on wolf recovery nationwide.

I urge you to maintain ESA protections for gray wolves in the lower-48 states and finally develop a national wolf recovery plan — not reverse years of recovery for this iconic species. Thank you.
