This Dog's Former Owner Cruelly Cut Her Limb From Limb for Not Doing What He Wanted. Justice for More Animals Like Sudi!

Taking one look at a picture of Sudi the dog is all it takes to know she has suffered immensely. Sudi was a victim of animal cruelty and torture so horrific that it left her without her front limbs, back toes, ears, and tail.

Beneath the surface, the sweet pup also suffered from a broken hip after being dragged from the back of a truck, leaving her with a single working leg. What did Sudi do to deserve such malice? Allegedly, her owner didn't think she was doing a good job as a farm dog. So he cut her limb from limb.

Thanks to rescuers in Sudi's home country of Iran and those stateside at Homeward Trails Animal Rescue in Virginia, she is safe and on the mend. She even helps her foster family care for and raise rescued puppies. It is a miracle that this dog, who has known so much pain and abuse, still has all this love to give.

While Sudi has made an incredible recovery and continues to heal thanks to her foster family and the continued support from Homeward Trails, her story shines a stark light on the lives of many animals in Iran that are less lucky. Iran currently has no legislation protecting the welfare of companion animals like Sudi or the farm animals she once lived among.

This means that the torture Sudi went through is totally legal, and could very well be happening to many more dogs, cats, and other animals right now. Additionally, livestock like cows, pigs, chickens, and more are not protected from immense pain and excessive stress in farming -- it is not required that they be stunned before slaughter, for example, and painful procedures like dehorning or castration can be done without any pain medication.

For years, animal activists in Iran have been demanding positive change. Let's join together and support their calls for true justice in the form of animal welfare. Sign the petition if you want to see the Iranian Government pass laws protecting animals from cruelty!
