Help Veterans Recover and Adapt

Rodney Allen was a U.S. Navy parachute rigger — one of the elite. But an accident during flight operations tossed Rodney high into the air and crashed him back down to the hard, steel deck. His skull was fractured. So were his back, one wrist, and some ribs. He also suffered a traumatic brain injury (TBI).

Because of his TBI, he forgets words, and finds it hard to articulate his thoughts sometimes. He's had both hips replaced, and he counts on Therapeutic Craft Kits from Help Heal Veterans to help him recover.

"I always look forward to the next kit showing up," Rodney says. "The kits take your mind off what’s bothering you. You can feel so alone when you're just waiting to heal."

For 45 years, generous supporters have made it possible for Help Heal Veterans to provide Therapeutic Craft Kits to veterans like Rodney. These medically-proven kits help veterans keep their minds occupied, recover the use of injured muscles, adapt to artificial limbs, and regain a sense of self-confidence.

You can help veterans heal, too. Sign your name and stand with us to help veterans take their minds out of the past and off their pain, and live in the present!
