Stop the Piglet & Lamb Racing at The Swan Inn, Stalbridge, UK

On 30th June The Swan Inn, Stalbridge plan to hold piglet and lamb racing as part of their Ale & Gin Festival. Not only that but they have said that children will be allowed to ride the piglets.

This cruel event must not be allowed to happen. Racing any animals is exploitative, but racing baby animals is even more abhorent. The baby animals will be terrified.

An ale and gin festival with lots of noisy drunken people is not a suitable environment for these animals, does not allow them to exhibit normal behaviour patterns and does not protest them from pain, suffering and injury.

As if that wasn't enough there will also be a bbq where the animals will be able to smell the cooking flesh of their fellow creatures.

Please sign this petition and call for The Swan Inn to cancel the racing aspect of their festival.
