Demand Congress stop Tennessee from banning abortion pills by mail!

Not content with the imminent overturning of Roe v. Wade and the subsequent banning of abortion in most of the country, Republicans are racing to close any and all loopholes that might allow a woman to retain some agency over her own body and her own reproductive choices.

In Tennessee, Governor Bill Lee has signed a bill increasing criminal penalties for distributing abortion medication through telehealth services or the mail, making it illegal to distribute abortion medication any way that isn't a face-to-face meeting with the doctor.

The FDA approved the distribution of abortion pills — which have the full endorsement of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists — during the early days of the pandemic and have been a huge boon to women all across the country.

This latest law is just another effort to humiliate women and to ensure that the only way they can receive abortion healthcare is with the approval of a medical authority figure until Republicans can squash women's reproductive rights for good.
