A bull is deprived of water for days in the heat of Spain. Parched, he drinks from the alcohol that is given to him, and his reactions are affected. Alternatively/as well, he may have heavy sacks dropped onto his back and vaseline smeared into his eyes. He is then led out into the bullring and tormented 😩. In distress and madness, he gores a horse 🐴, who feels great pain but cannot whinny in pain because her vocal cords have been cut. The bull is then stabbed with lances and, after being attracted by a cape and charging, he is stabbed with a sword 🗡. This may not kill him outright, he may sustain a damaged lung and cough up blood. He may be conscious when the matador (bullfighter) is allowed to cut off his ears or cut out his tongue.
Sickening. Disgraceful. Barbaric. This should not preserved as art, but banned and frowned upon for the barbaric animal cruelty that it is.
We are in Javea, Spain 🇪🇸. I read about a bull-burning fiesta in a villa book 📖. In some Spanish fiestas, they set fire 🔥 to a bull's horns. This, along with all other unnecessary violence towards Spain's bulls, is UNACCEPTABLE!!! It needs to STOP, and it needs to stop NOW!!!
Some Spanish may claim that bullfighting and fiestas are culture and art, but even culture and art can't justify deliberate, unnecessary violence towards sentient beings.
Bulls and horses probably have feelings. They may not have the same feelings that we do, but they still feel like we do. Cats and dogs have feelings and are cherished, loved and cared for, but the bulls and horses used in bullfighting probably have feelings, too. Their feelings and right to live and be cared for and loved and not abused should be respected.
NO MORE UNNECESSARY VIOLENCE TO BULLS, HORSES AND ALL SENTIENT BEINGS!!!!!!! BAN ALL BULLFIGHTING AND BULL FIESTAS NOW!!!!!!!!!
We, the Undersigned, demand a ban to all bullfighting and bull fiestas in all of Spain 🇪🇸, all Spanish territories and other places NOW!!!! We will boycott Spain, Spanish tourism and products now. You can expect a boycott and decline of tourism and revenue and proceeds from Spanish products sold in other countries until bullfighting and bull fiestas are all banned.
Please also boycott the bullfights and fiestas themselves, as well as all bullfighting/bull-related souvenirs from parts that bullfighting and fiestas are still legal.
