Dear Prime Minister Justin Trudeau
Scientific studies have shown that people who are fully vaccinated are less likely to contract or spread the virus COVID 19. Other countries have successfully reopened their country and economy in a controlled manner. We believe Canada is ready to follow their examples.
We the undersigned want The Government of Canada to issue Vaccine passports to Canadians and visitors to Canada that are fully vaccinated.
The usage of Vaccine passports will be a benefit to all Canadians
Our Travel, tourism and hospitality industries have been hard hit by the impact of COVID 19. Hotels, restaurants, and tourist attractions could open to offer their services to anybody with a vaccine passport.
For international travel a vaccine passport together with a negative COVID 19 test would allows us to safely reopen our borders to Air and ground travel. People with a Vaccine passport would be exempt from the mandatory 14 day quarantine period.
Canadians would be able to travel to the U.S or abroad to receive their second dose and return to Canada fully vaccinated.
This will free up vaccines for the general population and help reduce the time needed to reach our goal of herd immunity.
A Vaccine passport would be a step to pre-pandemic normalcy, something we are all looking forward to. The Canadian population is waiting for that first step and we are asking you to help make it happen.
