Rooftop solar gives us the freedom to make our own energy choices and to generate affordable, reliable, and resilient power, while creating good local jobs in one of the fastest growing industries in our country.
A growing number of Americans are claiming our Solar Bill of Rights.
If you agree that solar equals energy freedom, sign the Solar Bill of Rights. Send a clear message to your elected officials that you want to have a clean, equitable energy system that directs control and benefits back to local communities.
Specifically, the Solar Bill of Rights will call for elected officials to:
Rooftop solar gives us the freedom to make our own energy choices and to generate affordable, reliable, and resilient power, while creating good local jobs in one of the fastest growing industries in our country.
A growing number of Americans are claiming our Solar Bill of Rights.

- Support our belief that electric utilities have a responsibility to adopt policies to make it easier and less expensive for people of all incomes to go solar.
- Stop protecting the status quo of monopoly utilities and big power plants and let individuals and local communities save money by choosing to produce their own solar power.
