Tell Congress: Suspected Terrorists Shouldn't Be Able to Buy Guns!

  • by: Everytown

On November 5, 2009, Nidal Hasan shot 43 people at Fort Hood, Texas. Hasan was under investigation by the FBI for links to terrorism.

But in states like Texas and Nevada, suspected terrorists can purchase guns legally because there is no law blocking them from being able to do so. Felons and other dangerous people are prohibited from buying guns – suspected terrorists should be too.

This loophole has allowed more than 1,000 suspected terrorists to pass criminal background checks and buy guns legally – and it should be closed immediately. You have the power to help keep terrorists from easily buying guns.

Tell Congress to take action to close the Terror Gap. Sign this petition right away.

Suspected terrorists should not be able to buy guns. It’s that simple. I urge Congress to pass common-sense laws that will keep weapons out of the hands of suspected terrorists and other dangerous people.
