Stand Up to the Gun Lobby: Keep Guns Out of Schools in Wisconsin

Gun violence continues to devastate families and communities on a daily basis. But instead of taking commonsense steps proven to save lives, our elected officials continue to side with the gun lobby.

The latest in the onslaught on our safety? The National Rifle Association (NRA) are pushing President Trump and pro-gun legislators in Congress and right here in Wisconsin to allow just about anyone to carry guns in schools.

Let's be clear: Allowing private citizens to carry guns in our schools will not make our children safer. Wisconsin has some of the lowest training standards for concealed carry permits in the country, and this reckless plan will only increase the risks to students and educators.

We cannot sit back and let the NRA and their pals in Congress and the Wisconsin Legislature push through reckless laws. We need people in Wisconsin to speak out for a safer, saner state.
