Demand the Government to stop Federal agents hunting and killing Gray Wolves and have stricter poaching laws

Federal agents are killing gray wolves, the endangered species of the lower 48 states of America. Agents usually kill these wolves due to them endangering human lives and livestock. People are afraid of wolves and thus paint them as villainous animals. Not only federal agents, but also poaching and habitat loss is a big part of the rapid decrease of the gray wolf species. Wolves play a very important role in the ecosystems in which they live in. Since 1995, when wolves were reintroduced to the American West, research has shown that in many places they have helped restore ecosystems. They improve habitats and increase populations of countless species from birds of prey to pronghorn, even trout. The presence of wolves influences the population and behavior of their prey changing the browsing and foraging patterns of prey animals and how they move about the land, which usually alters the landscape itself. This is why wolves, of any color or species, are considered as a "keystone species," whose presence is vital to maintaining the health, structure, and balance of ecosystems. For these reasons alone, I believe that the slaughter of gray wolves should be stopped and any poacher who attempts to harm one should be severely punished. Wolves benefit humans after all, so why can't we help them in return?
