Investigate Florida Governor Ron DeSantis for Abuse of Power

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is an incompetent liar. The state's unemployment system is broken. People are suffering. And he is nowhere to be found, keeping his calendar a secret and refusing to answer questions from the state's residents.

He has done worse than nothing to address the out of control pandemic. When he does bother to do anything, it's to stop commonsense public health measures -- like his order to bar any locality from implementing their own closures or mask mandates. 

And worst of all, he's engaged in a coverup. At the beginning of the pandemic, he fired scientist Rebekah Jones because she refused to cook the books on the state's catastrophic COVID numbers. 

She bravely refused to be cowed. Since her termination, she's dedicated herself to making sure the world knows just how bad things are in the sunshine state. DeSantis could not handle the truth. So what did he do? 

On December 7, 2020, armed agents arrived at Jones' home -- putting guns in her face, and even pointing guns AT HER CHILDREN. Sending armed goons to stop scientists from spreading the alarm about public health? This is straight up authoritarianism, full stop. 

We cannot allow Ron DeSantis to get away with this. Sign the petition today and call on the Office of the Chief Inspector General to open an immediate investigation into this gross abuse of power!
