Petition For an Open Space Preservation Law

In order to preserve open, natural and unique areas of America, the undersigned petition Congess to enact and pass an Open Space Preservation Bill.
This bill stresses 3 ideas:
Protection
Preservation and
Conservation

Point1: The permanent protection of The Arctic Natl. Wildlife Refuge by way of making it a natl. monument.

Point2: Standing By The Roadless Area Conservation Rule by prohibiting ORVs,
road-building, and logging/drilling in the last wild 1/3 of our natl. forests.

Point3: The end of commercial logging and drilling in Natl. Forest public lands, which only contirbute 4% of American wood and oil needs.

Point4: Reseeds and replenishes all public lands that have been drilled or logged upon.

Point5: Increases public land area by 10 million acres - making the total out to 650 million acres of public lands.

Point6: Permanent protection for the length of the Appalachian Trail and the surrounding lands by making it a natl. monument.
