Protect Puffins, Bald Eagles and Fisheries while Helping Fishermen and Coastal Communities: Stop Reversal of Magnuson-Stevens Fisheries Conservation and Management Act

The U.S. House of Representatives passed HR 200, which would undermine science-based management and reverse progress of fisheries under the Magnuson-Stevens Fisheries Conservation & Management Act (MSA). The MSAa is a decades old law that has helped make the recovery ofover-fished areas possible. The MSA has benefited seabirds such as Atlantic Puffins, Bald Eagles, and Osprey, a variety of other marine wildlife, fishermen, and coastal communities with economies that rely on the fishery. HR200 must be defeated in the Senate for the sake of the bird, animals and the fishery.
