The SOL Project is working towards a tobacco smoke-free community in Sacramento and San Joaquin Counties in California. One area that is not completely smoke-free is Sacramento Regional Transit Bus stops and lightrail stations. The only areas that are smoke-free are enclosed stops and stations.
Smoke from cigarettes, also called secondhand smoke, is a toxic air contaminant with no safe level of exposure--even in outdoor areas. Secondhand smoke exposure can cause asthma, heart disease, cancer and other serious illnesses.
Would you support a smoke-free policy that included all bus stops and light rail stations? If so, please sign our petition. This petition will help us move toward a smoke-free community!

We the undersigned support the SOL Project's 100% smoke-free Bus stop and light rail campaign! We prefer that all Sacramento Regional Bus Stops and Lightrail stops be smoke-free.
