Raise the Federal Minimum Wage.

recipient: The United States Congress and the President of the United States.

Whereas, the federal minimum wage is set at $7.25 an hour,

and whereas, that is hardly enough money to pay for an American's basic needs;

therefore, we the undersigned hereby request that the federal government raise the minimum wage to $15 an hour so that Americans are better able to afford their basic needs.
