Don't Let Climate Change Endanger the Pygmy Rabbit

Pygmy rabbits are as adorable as they are diminutive — they weigh less than one pound! But their small size doesn't help them as their habitat shrinks.

Warmer temperatures as well as more intense and frequent wildfires are reducing their sagebrush habitat and may drive this species to higher elevations. At the same time, lower levels of snowfall and a reduced snowpack threaten their strategy for escaping dangerous predators — by burrowing through the snow — and leaves them exposed, without cover.

In order to save this runt-–like rabbit, we need to combat climate change immediately.

The EPA has proposed a landmark standard for climate pollution from new power plants. This standard will help end dirty energy as we know it and keep animals like the pygmy rabbit safe from climate change.

We know that industry leaders and their friends in Congress will be attacking it at any moment — and we need our voices to rise up louder than theirs. Tell the EPA you support its proposal to help curb climate pollution and save the pygmy rabbits' habitat!
To whom it may concern:

I strongly support the EPA's efforts to limit industrial carbon pollution from existing power plants, the largest source of carbon pollution in our country.

Fossil fuel burning power plants are the single largest source of dangerous carbon pollution in our nation and one of the largest in the world. And it's NOT responsible for the U.S. to have NO limits on carbon pollution from power plants!

EPA's efforts to limit dangerous carbon pollution from power plants will protect public health, fight climate change, and help our economy by sparking innovation in clean energy technologies.

Our communities, our families and our children are counting on your leadership. Please enact strong limits on carbon pollution from America's existing power plants.
