Ask Putnam County Animal Control not block volunteers from helping animals.

This facility is tiny and not easily accessible to the public. It is located behind the city landfill. They still practice heart stick euthanasia here. Many animals that end up here will never make it out. In the last 2 years countless volunteers and area rescues have stepped in to help. With facebook networking pages such as Friends of Putnam County Animal Control animals with no exposure received a greater chance at life. They are refusing to allow outsiders take photos of the conditions animals are in. Rather than offer better quality care they are attempting to hide that animals sit there sick and injured without care. They claim only employees will take photos and network the animals there yet their page has a history of not being updated frequently enough. Tireless volunteers were updating photos daily and networking with area rescues. Thousands of animals were saved through outside media efforts. Can you help save the innocent lives at Putnam animal control? Tell Anne Allen not to refuse volunteers access. They used to bathe animals, walk the dogs, play with the cats, and they are now banned.

Dear Anne Allen,

Nationwide animal control facilities recognise that caring for animals is an overwhelming and tiresome task. Many rely on the dedicated help from volunteers and animal rescue groups. We urge you to reform your decision and allow volunteers to network and care for the innocent animals in Putnam County Animal Control.
