Demand the Government Ensures Surveys are Carried-Out Before any Logging is Conducted in Forests

A survey conducted by citizens may have saved more than 15 rare greater glider possums from loggers, according to a report on abc.net.au

VicForests has halted logging in the Errinundra Plateau in East Gippsland to have the sightings verified by members of the Goongerah Environment Centre but it has to be asked - what would have happened to these gliders if committed environmentalists had not taken the time to conduct the night-time survey?

Sadly, it is more than likely they all would have died, along with any other undetected marsupials in the area.

This is not good enough! Will you join me in demanding the Victorian Government enacts legislation to ensure pre-logging surveys are carried-out before any logging commences in native forests.

This is done to protect threatened, endangered and critically endangered species.
