Help New Mexico's Kids Succeed: Expand Pre-K!

While New Mexico is known for high-quality pre-K, our state nationally ranks 44th for preschool enrollment. Right now, far too many families are struggling to find programs for their kids.

When kids miss out on preschool, they often don't start kindergarten ready to learn. Too many children never catch up. Additionally, studies show that children who receive a high-quality early education are 20% more likely to graduate from high school and, on average, earn a 50% higher income.

Together, we can ensure that all our youngest learners are given the opportunity to reach their full potential. Urge your lawmakers to support permanent early childhood education funding.
Subject: Support universal preschool in NM!

We know that when kids have access to quality early childhood education, their futures are bright. The recent court ruling in a landmark lawsuit over inequality in public education in New Mexico cited universal pre-K as one of the biggest steps the state can take to improve the school system. That's why I urge you to work with Governor Lujan Grisham to support permanent early childhood education funding.

Studies show that children who receive a high-quality early education are 20% more likely to graduate from high school and, on average, earn a 50% higher income. Additionally research shows the return on investments in comprehensive, high quality early childhood education are approximately 13 percent per year.
