Help More Children Like Liam. Support Funding for Head Start!
When Liam was just a few months old, his mom realized something wasn't right. Liam only looked to his left, slept to his left and used his left hand for most activities. Fortunately, because Liam was enrolled in Early Head Start, he received the screening and treatment he needed.
Head Start is a comprehensive early education and development program. It is evidence-based and is proven to work to ensure kids in the program are kindergarten ready. The program has life-long benefits to children and their families. It transforms kids' lives.
Tragically, millions of children living in poverty who are eligible for Head Start, miss out on vital screenings in addition to literacy and early math. Congress can change this.

And Early Head Start fares even worse – serving just 7% of eligible kids. That translates to millions of children missing out on these programs.
