We just don't know yet. What we do know is that the decision making processes, and those that make these decisions are hard at work trying to figure it all out.

Dear Adrian,
As soccer fans and in particular Seattle Sounders fans we are offering this message as a means of expressing our thank for all your efforts in managing and maitaining the current Seattle Sounders franchise.
Also, we want to say thank you for a wonderful 2007 camapaign and congratulations on the USL Championship, USL Comissioners Cup, and the Cascadia Cup.
It is very evident that MLS and your group is very close to brining Major League Soccer to Seattle for the 2009 season. And, even though the details have not yet been made public we as fans wish to present you with this petition as our request for two things:
1) If it is possible, or allowable between the two leagues, please bring back our Sounders for the 2008 season.
2) If Seattle is awarded a MLS franchise we ask that you, and your ownership group, please keep the Sounders name and identity.
As you are intimately aware the Sounders hold a rich tradition in Seattle. We don't want to try to re-create the hey-days of the NASL Sounders but we believe that this identity and reverence for those days will help this franchise grow and prosper.
