Abuse of Power

I'm here to finally give voice to the heinous nature of the Rite Aid pharmacist Terry Myers. Time and time again his vicious and scandalizing personal vendetta's against certain customers has left a very disgusting taste in many a mouth. My own mother and myself have been subject to his callous abuse. My mother has been on a certain medication for so long that if she were to suddenly stop taking said medication, her heart would stop. This man refused to adjust her insurance information in the computer to give her the meds. When she asked to pay for them in cash, he refused her. Why, you might ask? Sadly enough the man actually said, "I'm not giving you anything. Every time you've come in here you've turned me in to 1-800-rite-aid. There are 15 other pharmacies around here. Go find a different one." Since I was standing there, I can tell you this is verbatim.
After I gave the man a very firm tongue lashing and put him in his place, he then called security on me. Lying is also not beneath him because he spouted off about my repeatedly coming into the store to harass him when, in point of fact, I had never spoken to him before that day. Not even at the drive through.
He allowed me to fill my own RX there since it had already been filled and ready by this time.  However, I cannot go back there to have any others filled unless another pharmacist is working.
There was a woman standing in front of us that cheered us on and asked us to wait outside where she told us how abused she and her friend had been by this same man. I do have her name and information.
It took my mother and I 2 hours to find a pharmacy that actually carried her RX. By the time she finally got her medication, I literally had to put a pill in her mouth and force her to swallow one because she was in such a bad way.
When my stepfather called to complain he did so on speaker phone and Mr. Myers told him that if wanted to complain then he might find that his prescriptions would no longer be filled either.
When my stepfather said that he himself would come down to have them filled so that he wouldn't have to deal with my mother, Mr. Myers threatened to call the police on him. According to other employees on duty that day, Mr. Myers did in fact call the police and told them that his life had been threatened. In reality, my mothers life was threatened. She could have died had she not found a place that carried her meds.

Prior to this event, Mr. Myers has taken the liberty of leaving ignorant personal notes in my mothers medication bags. I have personally seen him open one of her bags after it had been stapled shut by another employee so that he could stuff a note into it. Three separate notes in as many months have been given to her.
Have you suffered from this mans abuse? Do you know someone who has been verbally abused and belittled just because Mr. Myers had a personal issue with them? I want to hear from you because obviously reporting him one at a time isn't going to work. Even his employees have turned him in but due to the fact that their jobs hang in the balance, they can do little else to help. I want to get this petition started to have him removed from our midst.

I have also discovered that Terry W. Myers has had his license suspended in another state. I am researching now as to why.

Scroll down to The State Board of Pharmacy and he is the 22nd name on the list.

If you would like to contact Rite Aid and find out why they are continuing to allow such abuse, simply dial: 1-800-Rite-Aid  (1-800-748-3243)

Please help us stop the abuse.

UPDATE!------------------------------------------

I received a phone call from one of the corporate offices. The feedback was less than humane. I was told that Mr. Myers had been praised on many an occasion by customers. When I asked the man about all of the negative things that Mr. Myers had been reported about, I was told that because he had excellent comments made as well that they were prepared to do nothing about what he had done to my mother. So I decided to put it into my own words by asking this question: "So if a man spends his life kicking puppies, as long as he feeds one from time to time that makes him a great human being?" The man told me that it was not so bad as all that. He then proceeded to try and bribe me. Oh yes, he did. After asking me why I continued to go to that pharmacy, which I don't anymore, he then asked if I could just go to a different Rite Aid somewhere else. I asked him why on earth I should have to drive out of my way to find a different pharmacy. He then proceeded to tell me that if I went to a different Rite Aid, he would see that my prescriptions were hand delivered to me at my very own front door... if I dropped this case and petition against his company.

After all this time and only 32 signatures to show for it, I'm beginning to think that there is little justice for the underlings. We small folk matter very little in this great big world and that saddens me. I'm not pulling this petition down, but I'm starting to lose heart that anything will be done about this abusive man.

I urge all of you that have friends and family to send this petition on. I'm not going to allow these small townsfolk, nor my family, think that they're not worth the time and effort. I do this not for myself, but for those that don't have a loud enough voice to be heard... and those that don't understand that they do indeed have rights.
