Animal Empathy

We here at IFPCC have heard time and again about the hurt that people suffer when they lose a pet and how difficult it was to talk to the vet. It sometimes feels as if they do not care at all about how much you are hurting when "fluffy" got sick and now you have to put him/her down.

We have developed a program course that specializes in education of the feelings of others when they are suffering a loss. We call it Animal Chaplaincy and we believe VERY strongly that ALL animal care providers should be educated in how to empathize with the pet owner and understand they are going through a difficult time. We believe they should be educated in answering questions that the pet owner is left with after their loss.
There has been many direct links to suicide after the loss of a pet in many children and elderly. Without the proper support system and educated Professional Animal Chaplains many people are left with nothing but heart-break and questions like:
1. Am I crazy to hurt so much?
2. What Can I Expect to Feel?
     Guilt, Denial, Depression, Anger
3. What can I do about my feelings?
4. What should I tell my children?
5. Will my other pets grieve?
6. Should I get a new pet right away?
7. Who can I  talk to?
              And
8. Do Pets Go to Heaven?

After all, we know just how much "Fluffy" really was a part of your family and it will take some time to heal as with any loss of family member.
Could you imagine a world of people trying to deal with grief and no one to talk to? Well there is a whole world of people who love and own pets and when they suffer a loss they have no one to talk to.

It's not just for Animal Care Providers tho, it is for anyone who loves animals enough to want to give their owner peace of mind. We train Animal Chaplains in the area of grief and bereavement, and the specialized ministry to animal lovers and their owners.

We also take the wonderful animals who are lost, afraid, hungry or ill and comfort them, and help network to give them a warm, soft bed, good food, medical care and most of all, love.
Everything we do is in the best interest of the pets. Our primary interest is what will make them happy. IFPCC is a place to celebrate the joy of life.  Call if you would like to arrange for a training to become a Certified Animal Chaplain, or if you would like to register your home to be a rescue home for an animal!    Call:  1-877-687-4372

If you believe as we do that animal care providers should be educated in how to empathize with the owners who are grieving then please sign this petition and help us get them educated.
