Ban Leaf Blowers on School Property

We need to protect children from the negative health consequences of leaf blowers. They increase particulate matter in the air, which is detrimental to everyone's health, but especially those with asthma, allergies, or chronic lung conditions.

Today as all the children were arriving at Hoover Elementary School there was not one, but four worker's using leaf blowers. Needless to say, the school was surrounded by the haze of dust clouds and they weren't blowing leaves, they were blowing playground sand/debris. My child has cystic fibrosis and asthma and I am very concerned about him today at school. I have been coughing all morning from my own brief exposure.
