BAN ARSENIC From Animal feed

Get Arsenic (a known carcinogen, Immune Suppressant and a "Dumbing agent") out of Our Food Supply and Environment

Support BIll
(H.R. 3624), known as the Poison-Free Poultry Act of 2009

According to the Environmental Protection Agency, long-term exposure to arsenic can cause bladder, lung, skin, kidney, and colon cancer, as well as deleterious immunological, neurological, and endocrine effects. Low-level exposures can lead to partial paralysis and diabetes.

NOTE According to ScienceDaily (May 21, 2009) The ability to mount an immune response to influenza A (H1N1 Swine Flu) infection is significantly compromised by a low level of arsenic exposure.

Three different pathways exist by which roxarsone (arsenic) in poultry and pig feed can contribute to human arsenic exposure. Roxarsone, or its breakdown products, ends up in poultry and pork meat and adds to the consumers dietary intake of arsenic, Arsenic which is excreted in  litter contaminates land and groundwater after the manure is spread on cropland and the large amounts of poultry litter is made into fertilizer pellets for home gardens and lawns contaminating homegrown produce with arsenic and exposing the consumer to arsenic dust.

The EU and Israel have banned this totally needless practise to protect their citizens from being poisoned -- yet the Canadian and US Governments continues to allow this Rat Poison to flow freely into consumers food and environment.

Please Sign the Petition below to ask, those who can, to Ban this Insane Practise and protect the health of Canadian and American consumers.

Thanx ...... ivan
