Cats to be killed at Towson University

Trapping and killing feral cats has been proven to be ineffective, costly, cruel and inhumane. It is inconceiveable that Towson University, which has as its motto "Think Outside",  would be so shortsighted and close-minded as to resort to a technique that is being abandoned by enlightened municipalities and universities acropss the country. Stop your plans to kill.  TNR groups in the area want to work with Towson. Use those resources for effective, humane feral cat management. Taxpayers do not want their money spent to kill cats when there is a more cost-effective, humane program available.

Please help.  The university is planning on trapping and taking the cats, ear-tipped or not, kitten and adults, to the county animal countrol center for disposal.  We are trying deperately to get a formal TNR agreement with the university.  We've been doing TNR for a year without the agreement and you can see the result.
