End Detainment of Displaced Cambodians

After protesting their eviction from Borei Keila, where they were displaced by a land dispute, women and children were recently detained in the Prey Speu social affairs center. The center, which is well known for its human rights violations, did not feed the women properly and did not provide proper medical care for one of the detainees, who is diabetic.

Although twenty-two women and children escaped the center and were able to report on conditions inside, hundreds of other families still remain displaced after the forced eviction and may be detained in the Prey Speu center if they protest the eviction.

Act now to appeal to the government to prevent further human rights violations by stopping illegal and inhumane detention in Prey Speu and by ensuring that all evicted persons are provided with housing and food.
We the undersigned call on you to provide housing and food to all people displaced by the land dispute in Borei Keila. Further, we appeal to you to stop the detainment of Cambodians who protest their eviction.
