The Wikipedia.org is showing illustrations of of Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.) on the website at

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Depictions_of_Muhammad
These illustrations are highly provocative and offensive to the Muslims. All the brothers and sisters are requested to sign this petition so we can ask the editors of Wikipedia to remove the illustrations from the webiste and respect Islam.
Due to the many advancements in telecommunication and media, the world has become smaller, almost reachable to everyone. We can not live without bieng friendly and tolerant towards each other and our faiths. If there arises such an occasion where there seems to be a clash or any misunderstanding, it must be resolved amicably and with earnest.
I am referring to the issue previously highlighted on
http://www.petitionsite.com/ regarding removal of the illustrations of our beloved Holy Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.) on Wikipedia.org.
Strangely enough, even though there has been much havoc and disturbance amongst Muslim community, no initiative has yet been taken by the editors of Wikipedia to remove the illustrations from the website and to resolve the issue.
Why still nothing has been done about the whole issue and why the editors of Wikipedia are ignoring the repeated requests to remove the illustrations, it is incomprehensible.
We demand vehemently to the editors to remove the offensive material from the website immediately and to insure that nothing like that happens again in the future.
