FREE HASHIM: The Youngest Detainee in Sudanese Prisons

Hashim Abdel Shakour Hashim Dirar Kedana, born May 2007, has been detained since June 6 2008 with his mother Mrs Zubeida Hagar, and his auntie Mrs Zahra Hagar.  They have all been detained from their family residence in Omdurman, after they demanded to know where Hashim%u2019s father was imprisoned since May 15 2008.  Hashim's father, a lawyer,  has been arrested for political reasons from his office in Libeya Souk in Omdurman.  Until this moment no one knows where the whole family is been kept.  They have not been charged with any crime, nor have they been formally accused.

Hashim, 14 months of age, is not only the youngest political prisoner in Sudanese prisons (and probably the world), he also stands as a symbol representing all those children who have been detained with their mothers.  Help us free Hashim and break his isolation at this young age, by at least signing this petition.
