KEEP THE MPTF NURSING HOME OPEN!

The Entertainment Community and concerned citizens strongly protested the Motion Picture & Television Fund's decision to close its Long Term Care Facility.  We are extraordinarily pleased that the Board of Directors has set aside its decision and changed its direction to address the Fund's historical aims and goals .
We, the undersigned workers in the Entertainment Industry and other concerned citizens, strongly support Saving the Lives of Our Own, the coalition of thousands of entertainment industry workers and community members dedicated to keeping the Motion Picture & Television Fund's Long Term Care Facility open, insuring its future and preserving the MPTF's commitment to its historic mission - we take care of our own.

We are pleased that  on February 23, 2011 the MPTF announced the continuation of Long Term Care, and the revitalization of  medical services on the Wasserman campus.  Saving the Lives of Our Own remains devoted to its goals, and to moving forward in good faith with the MPTF to continue the vision of the founders.

While keeping long-term care open is of the utmost importance, re-establishing the continuum of care on the Wasserman campus by admitting new patients is essential.
Let's open the doors to those on campus who might need it and make our mutual goals a reality in 2012. LTC adds real tangible value for industry members to the MPTF.

Thank you for taking the time to read this letter, for having second thoughts, and for doing the right thing.
