Legalize Gay Marriage

So I just have one question, can someone against gay marriage tell me why they're against it without using the words god, jesus, or religion? See I've been asking and wondering this question for the longest time and no ones been able to give me a logical answer that isn't based on their religion. Now don't get me wrong I believe everyone has a right to their opinion and to believe in any religion they choose. But I don't understand how a gay couple very much in love getting married effects you. Why do you care if a gay couple gets married. How does it effect you and your life? Personally I don't think it does. Unless you know the people than it's not really any of your business. It's like me stepping in and telling you how to raise your kids or do your job or live your life. Would you want some person you've never heard of who doesn't know you or your family stopping you from living your life and being happy? Now if you're against gay marriage and you answered no to my question above that's ok. Just because you wouldn't want that doesn't mean you have to change your belief. That's not what I'm trying to do. I just want you to rethink how strongly you might be fighting this because you are controlling a lot of peoples lives and you're stopping their happiness. If you have kids I'm sure you told them not to judge a book by the cover or to treat people how they want to be treated. Well you're judging thousands of people maybe more and you don't even know their names let alone who they are. Also would you want to be treated this way? If you've ever been in love and thought this person is the one and someone you've never met was saying your love is wrong and you can never get married, how would you feel?
