Lift the Gag on Lex Wotton Now

We the undersigned welcome the release of Lex Wotton on the 18th of July 2010. However the conditions imposed on him, a 4 year political gag, are completely unacceptable. Lex was a political prisoner who should never have been gaoled in the first place. His perspective about the death in custody of his friend Mulrunji and the subsequent events on Palm Island is urgently needed to expose the truth. We call on you to lift the gag on Lex Wotton immediately. We will speak out to challenge this attempt to silence a powerful critic. You cannot silence an entire movement.
