I, NOT Robot. Say no to REAL ID!

"On Tuesday, May 10, 2005, America became a true police state. Your U.S. senators voted -- unanimously, with no discussion, and without even reading the bill -- to create a national ID card."

It has been illegal and, time over time, rejected to put into practice a national identification card. Many proposals were made over DECADES but they all were overturned, AND FOR GOOD REASON. We can't have freedom if a country wants to pinpoint us and control our movement. Yet, now, we can't register as a driver or get a passport without having these chips with our information on them. I know, firsthand, as being a young adult in this generation, that technology is rarely accurate. It's useful but extremely fallible. Since when is technology more accurate than hard evidence? To dispel the most common misconception of this topic - No, it's not more safe or convenient it's only more invasive...and from what I've read, costs entirely too much in the process. A 5-year-old can't go into a library without a new version of library cards that have chips? To me, it's dangerous and to be blunt, plain ridiculous.
If you, like me, are opposed to REAL ID, please sign and be heard for who you really are.
We the undersigned have come together as a united front for the purpose of ringing alarms against the REAL ID Act that has been steeping for the past few years in this country. We believe that freedom does not come in electronic documentation nor does security. In honor of our real human identities, please hear the voice of America. Those in political office are there because of a trust in their leadership. With an authority and responsibility, it takes a strong and humble person to hold such a position.
We, together, want an end put to this identification proposal and the laws surrounding it so that we no longer feel like slaves in our country. Freedom lies in truth. The truth is we're not electronic. We're human. We're not robots. We're real. Real people want real lives and I don't know about you but my life is mine.
