Scrap the WA alfresco dog ban

Dogs are banned from alfresco eating areas under new statewide food laws recently passed by the WA parliament.
The law change brings to an end the Perth and Fremantle tradition of taking the pooch for a stroll along the strip or beach and having breakfast outside at a cafe.PREMIER Colin Barnett has indicated his personal support for a push to overturn a ban on dogs in alfresco areas. "I don't think dogs should be banned from alfresco areas, but it is the responsibility of dog owners to keep them under control, well-behaved and clean." This Personal support needs to be translated into action!
We, the People of Western Australia, hereby call for common sense in the application of our health laws.
We understand that cleanliness and hygiene regulations play an important part in the maintenance of public health standards , but believe that they can be applied with discretion to achieve their intention without a blanket ban on animals in outdoor areas. Specifically, we call for the lifting of the blanket ban on animals in outdoor areas where food is served.
