I am SICK of hearing that I'm too young or too immature for something. I'm not asking to get onto roller coaster rides early or anything dangerous (for the record, I'm tall enough for all the rides anyway), but I can not STAND hearing things like that. It seems like anywhere i go I'm hearing "We high school kids want this, not for the immature middle schoolers and elementary schoolers who can't make good decisions, but only for us." I am in 8th grade and I don't know why people keep beleiving they are so much better in high school. One specific time was on this petition site. They wanted sodas for high school, but not the immature middle schoolers. we are perfectly capable of making good decisions and eating healthy. No I don't want to vote, drink, drive, or do anything unsafe like that, I just want to be treated with more respect. Where's our rights? We legally can't own anything. That's right, whether you spend 4 hours at a lemonade stand or 3 hours at work if you're 14 , that money isn't yours. Yup. Your parents don't like you, they can just take whatever you earn or buy. Remind you of anything? Let's recap. 1) We can't own anything 2) We have absolutely no say in ANYTHING and 3) our parents decice what we eat, where we sleep, and when we play. I don't know about you, but I think they're treating us like... animals? Think about it. All we have over them is we don't eat Kibbles & Bits.
