Tell The New York Public Library to stop using plastic!

The New York Public Library has completely revamped their systems with a new self-checkout for borrowing materials. While the books have undergone almost no change, the DVDs, CDs and Videos have been wrapped in plastic that has to be removed and discarded before use. Each time these materials are returned a new plastic wrapping is put on. Plastic pollution is a huge issue that is affecting our environment and contributing to the death of our planet. The New York Public Library's use of disposable plastic as a security feature is both wasteful and irresponsible. Please tell the New York Public Library to stop polluting with plastic and to find an environmentally sound method to loan out their DVDs, CDs and videos.
