Veterans Day is November 11. Say "Thank you for your service!" to all American veterans.
Whether or not you support any war(s), we should all support our troops and their families. They did not decide to go to war, but they did decide to answer the call to service and support the constitution. They pledged in their Code of Conduct that they were prepared to give their lives in defense of all of us and our freedoms. In return for this profound commitment, we can all say "Thank you for your selfless service" by pledging our support by adding our names to the Code of Support for our troops (www.codeofsupport.org), a simple set of promises that we can make to our troops, our wounded warriors, our military families and our veterans.
By signing this petition, you are encouraging all Americans to support the less than 1% of us who serve in uniform. We can do our part in keeping America strong and free by helping to take care of those who sacrifice on our behalf. Thank a veteran. Thank their families. Help them to find jobs as they return to our communities. It's the very least we can do for these true American heroes!
We, the undersigned, give thanks to America's veterans and their families for their selfless service to our nation. We pledge our continuing support to them, as well as to our currently serving troops and their families as described in the Code of Support for our troops (www.codeofsupport.org), which parallels the Code of Conduct our veterans followed, pledging to give their lives in our defense. We thank our veterans for keeping America strong and free, and pledge to do our part in return.
Fewer than 1% of Americans serve in uniform today. Thank you to the other 99% for reading and signing this petition on behalf of that 1%.
