TVA RATE INCREASE

As I have come to terms with my OUTRAGEOUS utility bill, I have found that there are many others who are also having the same troubles regarding unreasonable utility bills. 

TVA increased their rates 32% last year, and even with a 2 1/2 person family, our bill reached an all time high of $461.00. The month of December 2008 averaged 50 degrees, so we used little or no heat throughout the month.

Before the hike in rates (32% increase and the 58.00 imposed fuel surcharge) my bill would have averaged aprox $224.00 last month. Perhaps TVA's CEO would be willing to pay our utility bill with his new half million dollar a year salary increase.  As he collects his 900,000 annual salary bonus, perhaps he and the Board of Directors will pray for me and my family, and perhaps yours, while we sit in our dark, cold houses once we our disconnected this month. 

We the people, by the people, for the people must stand up and fight while the rich get richer.  Demand a rate decrease and removal of the fuel surcharge.
