World Heritage Listing For Cape York

Australia's Cape York peninsula is a unique and invaluable area that needs world heritage protection.  It is home to the famous Wenlock River, which boasts the largest diversity of freshwater fish species of any Australian river.  It is home to the endangered Red Goshawk, the Palm Cockatoo, the spotted cuscus and the speartooth shark.

The Cape is also home to destructive mining with more potential mining companies waiting to get their heavy machinery into the Cape and destroy it forever.

We need your help to encourage the Australian federal government and the Queensland state governemnt to nominate Cape York for world heritage listing, ensuring its protection into the future.
