Yahoo: Don't take away our landmark!
Dear Elisa Steele, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of Yahoo!,
I am saddened to learn that the Yahoo! billboard will be taken down in December. I realize that it costs you money to rent that space, but I personally object to the billboard's removal.
The Yahoo! billboard is a landmark. It's a glittering reminder that San Francisco is one of the hottest dotcom cities on the planet. It's an emblem of pride. And it's art. It greets me every day on my drive across the Bay Bridge.
Please do not remove this iconic trophy that our city deserves.
