Yes You Can Re-Green Mother India
The desired aim is to get every Indian and every indofile living in this vast, amazing Nation called India, or in any other nation, to face up to the reality that we are voicelessly allowing the ancient country to become a desert state.
Every day thousands, if not millions of trees are clear felled, leaving Mother Earth with absolutely no protection from the scortching effects of the sun's piercing rays. In this dreadfully insane process our habitat and that of our wildlife species shrinks minute by minute, leaving even the National Mammal of India, The Tiger, with no where to go but into the paths of vile, souless, murdering poachers. What is horrifying is that so few raise their voices to ensure its survival. This majestic specie, apart from being one of the most beautiful creatures on earth, is the pinnacle symbol of India's ecological survival and the natural guardian of our jungles. Without the Tiger's presence in India's jungles none of the other equally precious and wonderous wildlife species have any chance to survive the greed of humanity and its destructive habits.....ourselves included.
If every person, young and old, were encouraged to get together, with one voice and an equal amount of pro-activeness, to plant and protect locally indigenous tress species on days such as the 26th January and 15th August annually, just think how quickly we could transform India back into the lush, green, healthy heaven on earth it was at the time of Alexander the Great's visit to this land of plenty.
If we don't do something soon in a committed, holistic way the next generation will curse us for etenity for our apathy, lack of consideration and selfishness.
Please save all trees; please stop inane clear felling of our jungles; please plant Indian trees of local value, and protect generation next's future quality of life......
Jai Hind
