Child protection petition

by: Petition started by Emergency Department Nurses after the preventable and accidental death of a child whose family was well known to multiple governmental agencies. We were all effected by the death and want to use it as a catalyst for change.

We wish to petition for improved child protection for children in at risk situations. We are disgusted, saddened, and angered by the preventable deaths and repeated abuse of children living in situations known to the authorities as putting the children at risk, or situations where abuse has occurred previously, even repeatedly.

We petition for Australia%u2019s children to be put first, above considerations of money, politics, and the benefit of the parents.
