To Build an Inclusive Singapore

"If we want to build an inclusive Singapore, then our vision must include citizens with a without disabilities" - Tommy Koh (1 December 2006).

Singapore signed the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities on 30 Nov 2012.

Singapore has made significant developments in the provision of services for persons with disabilities in recent years.

Now, Singapore needs your contribution to build an inclusive Singapore, by pledging an action to benefit persons with disabilities whom you will meet or personally know.

For example, if you are an employer, you may pledge to hire one more person with disability; if you are a student who has classmates with visual impairment, you may pledge to let them take your arm above the elbow when going from place to place; if you are waiting to board the MRT train with someone in wheelchair, you may pledge to allow them to board first. And the list goes on.
