The West Orange Library plays an essential roll in the education and enrichment of the West Orange community. The library has received the minimum state mandated funding, however to continue operating at its current level we are asking the West Orange Town Council to support the library by providing additional funding.
Dear Council Members and Mayor:
I am a strong advocate of the West Orange Public Library. The Library is an essential part of West Orange, providing educational, informational, and recreation resources to residents of all ages.
Feedback from the library’s 2015 Strategic Plan interviews and surveys with residents have indicated the Library is an integral part of our community. With the state mandated minimum level of funding, the library is underfunded as it faces increased costs and rapidly diminishing reserves.
Please fund the library over the state mandated minimum leveling of funding to meet its operational needs so the library can continue to provide the same level of service that the residents deserve.
