Stop Whaling

In a few day's time, the International Whaling Commission (IWC) will have a meeting that could decide the fate of whales. Whales have been hunted for many years for their meat and blubber, but it now has no place in this modern and such advanced world, as it is cruel, unnecessary and barbaric. The infamous Japanese whaling fleet are allowed to kill hundreds of minke whale in the Southern Ocean whale sanctuary by the IWC. A sanctuary is meant to be a place where creatures can feel and are safe, not be afraid and killed. The Japan whaling fleet say that they are killing whales for ''research''. In fact they are not, it is simply just for money and profit.

Japan has set down a motion reserving it's right to request a commercial or quasi-commercial hunting quota for minke whales in it's waters. The South Atlantic sanctuary and Japan's coastal whaling bid have both tabled year after year.

So please sign this petition to the IWC, demanding that whaling be banned in Japan.
