Stop Selling Angora Fur, Promoting Abuse to the Rabbits

With our continuing efforts to stop the abuse of animals that are used merely for their furs, we are trying to stop the sales of angora furs in various markets.  One such retailer is GUESS.  Many others around the world, such as the Gap, Inc., H & M, French Connection and the Express are now all angora-free and we hope that GUESS will follow suit.

http://www.peta.org/action/actionalerts/guessstopsellingangorawool/?utm_campaign=012216%20PETA%20E-News&utm_source=PETA%20E-Mail&utm_medium=E-News exemplifies the fact that GUESS is still offering angora fur products in their stores, even though they are fully aware of the fact that angora rabbits endure grave pain when being sheared for their fur.  Workers literally rip the fur off of these poor animals while alive, despite the animals’ terrifying screams and cries.  You may be in disbelief when reading the above article that depicts the type of suffering they endure! This is such horrifying and inhumane treatment of these poor animals for the pleasure of consumers who love to wear their furs.  Without sales of the angora, we can possibly take a big step in stopping this abuse.

Our efforts in this petition is to encourage GUESS to follow suit with other retailers and stop the sales of angora fur.  We are asking them to take a stand in stopping this mistreatment of these rabbits and become angora-free.  You can help us in our efforts by signing and sharing this petition.

GUESS – In lieu of the fact that more than 110 other retailers have become angora-free, we strongly urge you to follow suit.  These beautiful furs, as you know, come from rabbits that have to endure grave pain when being sheared.  Their furs are literally ripped off of their sensitive skin as they scream in pain and many are tethered or suspended in the air while they are aggressively sheared.  As many other retailers have made the compassionate decision to save these animals from such abuse by becoming angora-free, we ask you to please do the same and stop selling angora immediately.
