SAVE Bronson Parks and Rec Director

Town of Bronson council members are trying to terminate the position of Bronson Parks and Recreation Director Curtis Stacy. Curtis has made BPR what it is today! He is the backbone to our program!The thought of losing BPR Coach Curtis breaks my heart. This program not only teaches these children how to play sports but, they also learn to work together as a team. They learn the value of hard work, dedication and they form friendships. They gain so much more than knowledge of the sport. Not many know all the behind the scene work it takes to make our program succeed. I can tell you Curtis Stacy has made BPR what it is today!! He puts in countless hours to make sure everything is worked out! He travels all over to go to meetings to keep up with rule changes, scheduling, he is who makes sure we have everything we need for our teams. He makes sure we have the proper equipment, orders all the uniforms, picks them up, sorts them checking to make sure they match the order forms and taking care of it if they are wrong. He makes sure our basketball teams have a place to practice, he picks up breakfast and lunches from BES during the summer and delivers it to Cheer Camp. At home games for Baseball/Softball you can find Coach Curtis running the grill at the concession stand. Basketball season he's running the scoreboard the whole day. During Football he's out there coaching. No matter the sport when we have away games he is also there!!! Wherever are kids are playing, Coach Curtis is there making sure everything runs smoothly!! I can tell you the only town council members I have ever saw at BPR sporting events are our former Mayor Bruce Greenlee and Mrs. Beatrice Jackson Roberts. How can these other council members want to get rid of the BPR Director position? They might know what his job description is but, how can they know all the extra he does when they are never around? Please if you are able to, make time to go to the meeting. It will be on Monday, April 15th at 7pm. Show how much BPR and Coach Curtis mean to us, to our children. This is not only about his future with BPR but, our children's future to play sports in OUR town!! Stand up for OUR Director, Stand up for OUR children!!! These council members don't have children involved in sports so, they don't feel the need for us to have this program. Let's all remember the names of these council members who are against us Monday night. That way we know who to vote out at the next election!! #SAVEBPR
