Demand Fair Elections in Russia

On Sunday December 4, Vladimir Putin's United Russia party officially received just under fifty percent of the popular vote.

However, with widespread reports of ballot-stuffing, critics insist the real figure is around thirty percent.

On Saturday December 10, tens of thousands of Russians occupied the streets of Moscow to demand fresh elections.

They need our support.

According to The Telegraph, the Kremlin has warned that it will "harshly punish" any threat to stability, with more than 50,000 police and interior officials at its disposal.

Sign this petition to show your solidarity with Russian protestors.  Demand free and fair elections in Russia, as well as the release of all political prisoners!
We the undersigned demand fresh elections in Russia.  The elections of Sunday December 4 have been marred by widespread reports of voter fraud.  The people of Russia do not trust these elections results; nor does the international community.  In a true democracy, citizens must have faith in the integrity of the electoral process.  After Sundays election, it is impossible for the people of Russia to have any such faith.

We also demand the release of all political prisoners arrested demanding the right to free and fair elections.  These prisoners deserve to gain our gratitude, not lose their freedom.

We thank you for taking the time to read this letter.
