Expedite the Canadian Market Arrival of Electric Cars.

Petition to the House of Commons in

Parliament Assembled

            We, the undersigned, draw the attention of the House to the following:

THAT, the inability to purchase electric vehicles limits the citizen%u2019s ability to choose his/her most economic mode of transportation,

AND THAT, high speed electric vehicles were sold to the general public in the State of California without any disproportional disruption to the flow of traffic or the safety of drivers, passengers and pedestrians nearly 10 years ago,

AND THAT, high speed electric vehicles are currently being sold in the United States and Europe,

AND THAT, each electric vehicle can save about 6 tons of green house gases annually,

AND THAT, the use of high speed electric vehicles is largely seen as inevitable since fossil fuels are not an infinite source of energy,

THEREFORE, we the petitioners call upon parliament to expedite the Canadian market arrival of highway speed electric cars such as, but not limited to, the Tesla electric sports car and the Phoenix electric SUV so that those Canadians who are able and willing to purchase such cars may have the ability to do so.
